In Improver swimmers continue to develop and refine freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly, with some emphasis on attaining swim-fitness and stamina.

Preschool 1

For children at the beginning of their aquatic education. They work on the basic concepts of breath control, propulsion, submersion, and floating front and back.


Preschool 2

For children who can float and are ready to develop their propulsion skills and the ability to take a breath while swimming.  Dolphin kick is also introduced.


Preschool 3

These children work on developing their freestyle stroke with rhythmic breathing.  They're introduced to backstroke and butterfly.

1. Beginner

In Beginners children gain water confidence and learn to float independently on their back and front. They also work on basic propulsion skills.

2. Stroker

The purpose of the Stroker class is to work on kicking and arm stroking as well as developing the child's rhythmic breathing capability.  In this class children will gain the foundation drills used in subsequent courses.

This class is for developing and refining freestyle with bilateral breathing, backstroke, and butterfly.

Preschool lessons​


Times:

  • Monday and Wednesday 9am - 12pm
  • Saturday and Sunday limited preschool lessons throughout the day.

Lessons are held during the school term.

No holiday courses.


$195 for a ten week term


School-age lessons


Times:

  • Monday to Friday from 3.30 until late. (The 45-minute classes start at 5.45pm or 6.15pm.)
  • Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

Advanced Improver

Here children are developing and refining freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly, with and without flippers.  Swimmers are learning higher level drills and increasing fitness and stamina.


Advanced Improver 1

In this next grade there are more advanced drills to refine the detail of the stroke as well as speed and endurance.


Advanced Improver 2

In Advanced Improver 2 we introduce and develop breaststroke, refine the other strokes, and focus on speed and endurance.


Advanced Improver 3

45 minutes

class limit 8

Swimmers work on drills and whole strokes with workouts designed to physically stretch each participant.  They work in the four strokes.
